Drayton Green Church
Status: Complete
This Piercy & Company project was completed in 2018 and now provides The International Presbyterian Church with 11,900sqft of new worship and administrative space. Lee Whiteman whilst working at Piercy & Company was project architect seeing the project from planning through to completion.
The new space provides the church with a carefully considered intervention which surrounds the existing Grade II listed Edwardian chapel. The traditional high ceilings and vaulted spaces of church buildings provided a conceptual approach to this scheme which was interpreted in a responsive way. The new vaulted ceiling starts with an open entrance and takes visitors through the spine of the building to the expansive meeting hall.
